64th Street East Reconstruction

Foothills County is sending this letter as part of public engagement to inform residents about planned upgrades to 64th Street East to address increasing traffic and safety concerns. The portion of 64th Street that is being upgraded is from 338 Ave East, north to the Highway 552 East intersection.  We will be improving the road to the County’s paved standard which includes a 9-meter surface with painted centerline and shoulder lines which will improve safety and bring this road up to current standards.

These upgrades will require that the County enact all existing Road Acquisition Caveats within the project area as well as approaching landowners for additional land to accommodate road right of way, backsloping or for clay borrow for construction.  If your parcel is one of the ones identified as requiring an acquisition, or as a potential source of materials you will be contacted directly by a County representative.

The work is projected to commence in 2022 and the anticipated completion is scheduled for 2024.
