Fire Captain

Foothills County is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Fire Captain with the Foothills Fire Department.  The position of Fire Captain is responsible for the operations of the Fire Station assigned to them.  In addition, this position will provide leadership and development of fire fighters and directing and participating with fire crews during emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience and/or Fire Officer 1 for the fire service is recommended,
  • Recommended a minimum of five (5) years of active fire service,
  • Incident Command System, minimum ICS 100 & 200,
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Q Endorsement,
  • First Aid & CPR “C”

Experienced Finishing Grader Operator

Seasonal  (Term – May to October 2020)

Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in the foothills of southern Alberta.  Foothills County is inviting applications for an experienced finishing grader operator to work within the Public Works Department.

This position may be considered for a longer term depending on the projects needing to be completed for the 2020 season.

A current driver’s abstract may be required at the interview stage.
