    Vegetation Control

Brush mowers are operating in the County now through to late spring to remove small trees, branches and bushes that are encroaching upon roadways and approaches.

    Vegetation control:

    • Improves sight distance at intersections and curves
    • Restores proper drainage in ditches
    • Reduces snow drifting problems
    • Allows dissipation of dust clouds, created by traffic on gravel roads
    • Allows for safety from wildlife
    • Enforces the Weed Control Act of Alberta

Foothills County staff and council would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated their time, energy and money to the 2019 Christmas Family Program. With your help we were able to help 34 local families.

We would especially like to thank our donors, for without all of you, this program would not be as successful as it is.
