Part-Time Industrial Land Strategies (ILS) Project Coordinator

The Alberta Foothills Industrial Corridor Association (AFICA), comprising a tri-municipal partnership involving the MD of Foothills, Town of High River, and Town of Okotoks has a unique opportunity to offer the person who can drive our joint initiative to position the Highway 2A corridor as the area of choice for rural industrial development south of Calgary. This area is strategically located proximate to the partner municipalities and the major north-south Can/Mex Highway 2 trade corridor in Alberta.
As a professional who has demonstrated skills in economic development principles and best practices your role in project management is to plan, execute and finalize various components of the ILS within established deadlines and budget. You are responsible for coordinating with the Industrial Strategies Committee and the three partner municipalities, to manage the implementation of the project and all aspects of its delivery.

Your 10 years as a seasoned veteran in economic and land development, plus your post-secondary education in Economics, Business, Marketing, Real Estate Development or a related field ensure your success in this role. Accredited certification or additional training in project management and the ability to acquire a designation from the Economic Developers Association of Canada are definite assets. Possession of a valid Class 5 Alberta Drivers License will assist you in meeting expectations of the position. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Based on a commitment of 2 to 3 days per week, we offer an annual salary range of $35K to $43K. Home base is in High River.
