Taxes May Be Paid At
Receipts

TERMS and CONDITIONS

 Make cheques payable to the M.D. of Foothills No. 31.

 Payments will be accepted at any time, subject to penalties. 

A Canada Post postmark will be honored as the date of payment.  If the postmark of Canada Post is absent or illegible, the effective date of payment will be the actual date of receipt by the M.D. of Foothills No. 31.  The imprint of a postage meter is not acceptable as proof of the mailing date.

 Post-dated cheques are acceptable.

 Filing an appeal against your assessment does not alter your tax responsibility - the late payment penalty dates still apply.

 TAXES MAY BE PAID

At most Financial Institutions in Canada, including Automatic Teller Machines. Please include the remittance portion of the Notice with your payment.

By telephone or P.C. banking.   Please contact your financial institution for information on these services.   We have existing PC/Telephone banking agreements with the following institutions for payment of taxes, utilities and road allowance leases.

Royal Bank

Scotia Bank

TD-Canada Trust

In Person at the M.D. of Foothills No. 31 administration building, located at 309 Macleod Trail, High River, Alberta during business hours.  Cash, Cheque, or Debit Card is acceptable.  We do NOT accept credit cards for payment of property taxes.

After hours through the drop box located on the front door of the M.D. of Foothills No. 31 administration building, located at 309 Macleod Trail, High River, Alberta -- cheques only please.

RECEIPTS

Your cancelled cheque is your receipt.  If you require a further receipt, please contact the Tax Department.  Receipts issued in acknowledgement of a cheque or other negotiable instrument shall be valid only when M.D. of Foothills No. 31 has collected the amount of such cheque or instrument.
