Analyst/Cartographer
Full Time
The Municipal
District of Foothills No. 31 ,
a rapidly growing rural Municipality in Southern Alberta, is inviting
applications for a full time position as GIS Data Analyst/Cartographer.
This position is responsible for providing infrastructure information
and mapping services for M.D. management, staff and external customers.
We are looking for
an individual who possesses knowledge and experience with MicroStation,
ArcMap 9.x, MS Access, and MS SQL. This person will work with a variety
of data formats that form the core spatial data and base mapping for all
corporate GIS requirements.
The successful
candidate must have effective communication skills with experience in
providing quality customer service. They will have the ability to
maintain and integrate spatial data, and to compile, publish and
distribute maps in various formats.
Qualifications:
A university degree or technical diploma in a relevant discipline,
experience with windows network, computer mapping, in MicroStation/ESRI
environment. The candidate must have a clear understanding of the
principles of legal surveying and cadastral mapping.
This position is a 1
year contract with the possibility of being extended at the end of the
term.
Salary Range:
$30,000 - $50,000 per annum

ASSESSMENT
TECHNICIAN/
LANDFILL CO-ORDINATOR

The Municipal District of
Foothills No. 31 , a
rapidly growing rural Municipality in Southern Alberta, is inviting
applications for a permanent full time position of Assessment
Technician/Landfill Coordinator. This position is responsible for
providing clerical support for both the Landfill as well as the
Assessment Department.
We are looking for an
individual who possesses knowledge of assessment roll maintenance,
document management and have the ability to use various computer
applications. You must have a working knowledge of accounts payable,
monthly invoicing and generating reports. The successful candidate will
perform general inquiries, research, maintain landfill filing system,
and complete daily bank deposits.
Proven effective
communication skills and quality customer service are necessary.
Your experience should
include the use of Microsoft applications such as Excel and MS Word.
Salary Range:
$30,000 - $40,000 per annum
